Commercially Tested: How do I file a claim and return a product?
Return Policy: Returns of non-defective products must be accompanied by proof of purchase and must be in their original packaging, unopened, unused, and in resalable condition, along with all manuals and accessories. Returns must be made within 30 days, and shipping costs are non-refundable. If the item is returned and is eligible, an exchange or in-store credit may be offered in lieu of a refund.
Commercially Tested: The warranty terms and conditions set forth below apply to defective products and provide possible remedies.
Warranty Information: All products are covered by a minimum 12-month parts and labor warranty. Extended warranties may apply to certain products. Please refer to the description of the trade-tested product for specific information.
To obtain warranty approval, please contact Trade Tested and provide relevant information, including photographs or confirmation from a service representative.
For minor defects, replacement parts can be shipped or forwarded to a local customer service representative.
For serious defects that cannot be repaired, an exchange of the item or an in-store credit/refund may be offered.
If a repair or replacement cannot be completed within a reasonable time, a credit or refund may be issued, except for damage caused by misuse or unauthorized modification. Proof of purchase must be provided; the warranty is non-transferable, and damaged products or missing parts must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. It may be necessary to send the powered equipment to a service representative for repair.
Rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (“CGA”):
Goods must be of acceptable quality, safe, durable, and free from defects.
Goods must be fit for the purpose of purchase.
Goods must match their description or samples/models shown.
If the Goods do not meet these guarantees, appropriate legal action will be taken under the CGA. This applies in addition to the manufacturer’s guarantee and may include rights directly against the manufacturer. The CGA does not apply if the goods are used improperly or beyond normal expectations.
For business buyers, the CGA consumer guarantee does not apply if the goods are used commercially.

Return Shipping Costs: Trade Tested will cover return shipping costs if the item is found to violate a consumer guarantee. If inspection does not reveal a violation, Trade Tested may charge a return inspection fee and return shipping fees.
Trade Tested Refund Process: Refunds will be processed within seven days via the original payment method, except for cash payments made at the Auckland branch, which will be refunded via bank transfer as cash is not available on-site.
